APTE consists of 3 main teachers, Judith Land, Pam Hewitt and Sean O'Kane and most students are taught by at least two, if not all three of us.
We find that this variety and difference of approach adds interest and stimulation to our courses and is an important factor in the learning process.
Judith Land, the Coordinator of APTE, has a Masters Degree in Modern Languages and a Certificate to teach English as a Foreign Language.
She has taught General and Business English, both individually and in groups, for many years at a wide variety of levels and enjoys meeting people from many different countries and backgrounds.
Pam Hewitt has a Certificate in Teaching English to Foreigners (TEFL) and a B.A. Honours Degree in Communication Studies, including Linguistics. She speaks fluent French.
She has taught Business and General English for many years, both one to one and to groups, and to students of all ages and backgrounds.
She has wide-ranging interests, including music, literature, singing, dancing and alternative medicine.
Sean O'Kane, in addition to his Honours Degree in English and his TEFL Qualification, has extensive international business
experience and is thus uniquely placed to help our students.
He is particularly interested in presentations, environmental issues and working with students to perfect their pronunciation.
His other interests include the theatre, sport and art.
